Creative Resources

Creative activities have been a crucial part of Remembering Baby. We ran our first workshop, Lasting Impressions, in order to generate parent artwork for our original exhibition. Families found this, and subsequent workshops, very therapeutic. They enabled families to create a precious memory of their baby in a low-stress environment.

Why

The purpose of this section is to provide a guide for anyone who wishes to participate in or lead creative activities and workshops. The aim of these guides in particular is to reach out to grieving families who have been struggling alone during the COVID pandemic. Our guides can be viewed on screen and some can be downloaded, printed and used to facilitate workshops.

Where

These creative activities can be done at home on a solitary basis or with family and friends. We also hope that, when circumstances allow, these will encourage and inspire others to set up their own creative groups.

What

Included here is a mix of tutorials and creative inspiration, providing links to other creative sources where appropriate. Some tutorials can be conducted with items you might find around the home. Others include a list of materials. Whilst we’ve tried to keep costs as low as possible, materials for some activities may cost more than others.
